Frequently Asked Questions

What insurance do you take and will it cover O.M.T.?

We accept most insurance policies. If you have a question about your policy, please contact your insurance company directly.

What is the current wait time for a new patient to get in to see the physician?

Currently new patients are scheduled within 1-2 weeks. This is subject to change without notice.

My primary doctor made me a referral, what do I need to do?

Your primary care physician’s referral department will contact us. Once we get the referral, we will mail you a new patient packet via USPS. Once your packet is received you will be added to our new patient call list. We call to schedule new patients on Fridays in the order they are received in our office.

Are there any forms that I need to bring with me?

All new patients are required to send in or drop off a pre-filled new patient packet prior to being added to our new patient call list. Once your packet is received someone from our office will give you a call approximately 1-2 weeks AFTER we have received your completed paperwork. Please click here for the most up to date new patient forms.

I am running late, what is your policy?

Due to the time constraints of our office, patients who are more than 10 minutes late for their appointment will be rescheduled. There are no Exceptions.

I have a co-payment but don’t have the money for my appointment?

Co-Pays must be paid upfront on all visits. If you are unable to pay, our staff will reschedule your appointment.

How long is the first appointment?

The first appointment is scheduled for an hour. The physician will spend 45-50 minutes with the patient.

How long are follow-up appointments?

Follow-up appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes. The physician will spend about 15 minutes with the patient.

How many visits before I see results?

Most patients see lasting improvement the first visit.

Is O.M.T. the same as Chiropractic Treatment?

No. Forceful adjustments are not used by the physician in our office.

Is O.M.T. the same as Physical Therapy?

No. Physical therapy works to relieve pain and disability through the use of exercise, heat, and hydrotherapy. OMT works to integrate the structure of muscles and bones so that health is restored.

Do I have to get labs, x-rays or other tests done?

No. Somatic dysfunction cannot be diagnosed using any of the above methods. Somatic dysfunction is diagnosed and treated with O.M.T.

I have test results and would like for the physician to look over them. Is that a problem?

No. The physician will review any outside tests as necessary.

I want to bring a friend or family member to the office?

Friends and family members are welcome. However, due to privacy regulations, no one is permitted back with a patient. –Special circumstances are made if the patient is physically/mentally disabled or under the age of 16. One caregiver will be allowed to accommodate the patient during their visit.
